University of Hull DAIM IT Teaching Space Building
We were appointed by our client to provide the Passive Fire Protection works to all wall and floor penetrations within the fire compartmentation of the Hull University’s New IT Teaching Building, as well as acoustic sealing to all wall penetrations within the construction. We worked with our client to deliver a tight programme, as it was crucial that the building opened in time for the January 2023 semester.
Budgens Holt Supermarket Refurbishment
We were appointed by our client to install Fire Protection systems to the existing Budgens Supermarket that was being refurbished following previous fire damage. We worked closely with our client and suppliers to provide an appropriate compartmentation system, which included vertical fire barriers, fire partitions and associated boarding, and fire penetration stopping measures.
Audi Harrogate Structural Steel Encasement
We were appointed by our client to provide fire protection encasement to the structural columns and beams of Audi Harrogate’s new cosmetic repair facility, ensuring the fire boundary conditions were met to achieve one-hour protection. Our delivery teams are experienced in installing all systems of Passive Fire Protection.

Structural Steel Intumescent Painting
BEE Fire Protection Ltd was appointed to provide protection to all structural loading beams using applied reactive coatings as its means of protection. When applying intumescent coatings, knowledge of the primer used for compatibility to provide final solution is key. Quality assurance and good recording is required to ensure a compliant install, which involves constantly checking temperature and environmental conditions as well as taking WFT (Wet Film Thickness) and DFT (Dry Film Thickness) recordings. Due to clearance issues between ceiling and soffit location, our client asked if we could provide an intumescent solution and ensure four sides of protection.
Capitol Park Office and Warehouse Space
Fire Protection Partition Wall and Boarding
We were appointed by the end user on the Capitol Park Development in Barnsley to provide a space for offices and W/Cs that would separate the warehouse from an occupied operational office. We provided all passive fire compartmentation to comply with Building Regulations Part B means of escape so that the warehouse could be effectively adapted.
RNLI Tower Lifeboat Station
This project was based on the water in King George V Dock for the RNLI and we provided all fire stopping measures to floor and wall penetrations. As with all of our projects, every penetration is labelled at time of install – product information of what was used/specified and the system used is identified and logged onto fire asset register software, which stays with the lifecycle of the building so that our end users know every element and location of Passive Fire Protection measured within their building.
