Whether you need a new building designed around fire safety or require upgrades to existing premises, we’re here to ensure that the building’s structure and fabric complies with Building Regulations Part B and the Fire Safety Regulations 2022.
What we offer
Our comprehensive Passive Fire Protection solutions are designed to impede and/or slow down the spread of fire and smoke within the building by retaining them at the source for as long as possible. Our wide-ranging PFP services are outlined below.
Intumescent painting to structural columns and beams
Intumescent paint coatings create fire barriers for structural columns, maximising their insulation and fire integrity. In the event of a fire, the intumescent coating reacts to the heat by expanding and increasing in density, which protects the steel columns and prevents them from warping and weakening under the intense heat. This helps to maintain the building’s structural integrity during a fire and prevents ceilings from collapsing.
Fire walls, fire integrity partition walls and ceiling installations
From structural fire walls made from concrete or concrete blocks to fire integrity partition walls and ceiling installations that subdivide portions of the building, we can design and install the full spectrum of Passive Fire Protection solutions throughout your premises.
Fire curtains (vertical and horizontal fire barriers)
Fire curtains provide compartmentation protection in areas that fire partition walls cannot reach. Due to their lightweight construction, fire curtains can be installed above doorways, lobbies and doorways, which are then released to cover the space if a fire breaks out. Their robust and fire-resistant material then prevents the spread of fire and smoke through these otherwise unprotected areas until the fire brigade arrives.
Fire stopping
Fire doors are essential for stopping the spread of fire within a building, and correct maintenance and installation can only be carried out by an approved engineer. The fire safety engineers here at BEE Fire Protection can provide the highest calibre of fire door installation and ongoing fire door maintenance, ensuring that your fire doors remain suitable, effective and compliant.

Fire asset inspections and audits
If you already have a Passive Fire Protection system in place, we can review it and provide expert recommendations. This enables you to optimise your fire strategy and ensure that any new property developments or changes to existing buildings are fully protected through effective PFP solutions.
Fire safety maintenance
We can also put together the fire register after all PFP mechanisms have been installed. In addition, your fire asset report should be revised annually and the premises inspected every six months by a Q Mark certified specialist to make sure everything is still in full working order, which BEE Fire Protection can provide as part of an ongoing service.
