What is fire stopping?

Fire stopping, or Passive Fire Protection (PFP), is a type of fire safety system that remains dormant until a fire situation arises. Its role is to contain the spread of fire and smoke so that more time is available for the safe evacuation of occupants and the arrival of the fire and rescue service. In the process, these systems reduce the damage caused by fire and smoke by minimising their movement throughout your premises.

Our PFP services include:

Intumescent painting to structural columns and beams
Fire walls, fire integrity partition walls and ceiling installations
Fire curtains (vertical and horizontal fire barriers)
Fire stopping
Fire door installation and maintenance
Fire asset inspections and audits
